"Renewing My Voice -- Refreshing My Spirit"
at the beautiful Cannon Beach Conference Center on the Oregon Coast

What the Conference is about:
Set against the backdrop of the stunning Oregon coastline, the purpose of this Conference is to provide music-based voice strengthening and rehabilitation techniques for those whose speech has been compromised by Parkinson’s, stroke, other neurological disorders or aging: Breath awareness, body alignment, vocalises (singing exercises) diction, articulation, and creative drama will be the tools to gain stronger, clearer speech. You do not have to read music to benefit from this Conference. In addition to strengthening our voices, we will have the chance to be refreshed and strengthened spiritually through optional devotional times with our Chaplain. All of our sessions will be taught in an affirming, positive, relaxed atmosphere.

Who the Conference is for:
The Conference is open to anyone, total non-singer or soloist, and those with voice issues, whether neurological or other or anyone who uses their voice in work. It is also excellent for those who want to be proactive protecting their voice as they age. Loved ones, family members and caregivers will also benefit from the techniques used to improve the voice.

Your Instructors:
Dr. Ruthanna Metzgar (Music and Voice),
Peter Lind Harris (Speech, Diction and Drama),
Paul Barnes (Chaplain),
Jack Bishop (Pianist)
